Wine Appreciation Course
A five week course specifically structured for those who wish to enhance their
appreciation and understanding of fine table wine. The basis of this course is the development of practical tasting skills rather than lecture-type theory sessions.
Dates: Tuesdays: 26th July, 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd August 2011 (5 sessions)
Time: 6.30pm – 9.00pm
Venue: Border Wine Room, 492a (upstairs) Dean Street, Albury
Cost: $330 (incl. GST) per person.

- Sensory evaluation & tasting technique
- Wine types, styles & varieties
- The vineyard & winery – how they influence wine style & quality
- Identifying wine faults
- Wine & food interaction; cellaring & storage: service issues.

by Patrick Iland, Peter Gago, Andrew Caillard and Peter Dry RRP: $55.00 - Wine – 10-12 high quality wines per week
Tutor: David Sutherland is the wine writer for Albury/Wodonga’s Border Mail, and owns and runs Albury’s Border Wine Room restaurant. David has worked in the European wine industry for a number of years, holds a Diploma of Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (London) and provides experienced wine education services to the Border region including imported wine courses.
